Mundaun: A Hand-Pencilled Horror Tale
Mundaun is a full version action game available on Nintendo Switch. Developed by Hidden Fields, it tells the story of a protagonist who travels to Mundaun to investigate his grandfather's mysterious death in a fire. The game takes place in a dark, secluded valley of the alps, where the player will have to explore various areas full of secrets to discover, survive hostile encounters, drive vehicles, fill their inventory and solve a variety of hand-crafted puzzles.
The game's unique setting immerses the player in an alpine world where reality and myth intertwine, offering a one-of-a-kind greyscale aesthetic thanks to hand-pencilled textures. The levels are varied and open, ranging from green meadows to snowy peaks, but the player must beware of the creatures roaming the landscape. Puzzles are integrated into the game world as the player makes their way up the mountain, and they will also interact with eccentric inhabitants who even have their own obscure spoken language. Control vehicles such as sleighs and hay loaders to find out the dark secret behind the grandfather's death.
